Beth Ditto is most famous for her time as the lead vocalist in 'The Gossip' with amazing tracks such as 'Standing In The Way Of Control and Heavy Cross' she is now branching out and going 'solo' with first single 'I Wrote The Book' the video sees her paying a massive tribute to Madonna in the days of Vogue, actually a really good video and it does not look like she is taking the piss either.. I think we can all say we wrote the book on dating rules and regulations but as most girls know, Sex and The City did that for them..
Anyhow, the single is a good effort on Beth' and I think it goes to show you don't need to be a rake to make great videos, she is an interesting personality and think there are many different avenues she can go down musically, I think all that is missing is a feature from Nicki Minaj!
It seems it is the year to pay homage to the music queen Madonna, with Gaga also paying tribute to Madonna with new single 'Born This Way' its a good time to be different in the Music industry.

Britney Hold It Against Me video
Britney Spears is back with new single and video for Hold It Against Me, firstly, is it a good comeback song? I am not so sure for a comeback as such, it's OK but I don't like the video - just seems like she has tried too hard. I think I will always be a fan of hers to some degree but I am more old school Britney more so than new stuff, my old classics are Slave 4 U, Born To Make You Happy and Toxic. Still more recent tracks like Gimme More or Womanizer are quite strong tracks in the past few years.
Secondly, Hold It Against Me is a good song, it sees Britney going down a different road in terms of her musical style, however the video is not quite there, I like that they have used her old videos and showed how she has changed over the years, but the video does not feel right, bit try hard, but a valiant effort on the Spears camp.
Only time will tell if she can keep up with the likes of Gaga Beyonce, Rihanna and Katy Perry who are all leading the way in music at the moment.

CocknBullKid - Hold On To Your Misery
CocknBullKid aka Anita Blay |
This song is really catchy, its upbeat and fun, and the video matches, colourful and cheery with cute kids to match, despite the songs title, Hold On To Your Misery, the song brings nothing but smiles and happiness to me.
CocknBullKid will be all over the airwaves in the months to come, and proving that British female acts are leading the trend in the music industry all over the world.

Nicole Scherziner - Don't Hold Your Breath
Her name is Nicole, she is turning out to have quite the solo success she obviously deserves, excusing the 'Baby Love' incident. This song, I much prefer to Poison actually, it is a track that gets in your head and sits there nicely.. I am looking forward to the album now as I feel it is going to be a cracking record whenever Nicole gets round to naming it?
I love the video - she looks sultry and sexy as ever! The video itself is a better effort than Poison also, which I found to be a little bit low budget looking. Anyway I am a fan, and I am sure this will be another huge hit for Nicole when it is released here in the UK in March.

Lady Gaga - Born This Way (AMAZING)
It feels like an age since GAGA was last dominating the world ten times over, but it was not that long ago - so to call this a comeback is a slight exaggeration - HOWEVER, what a come back this is, I instantly purchased Born This Way as soon as I got in, it basically cements the fact Lady GAGA is the most original, creative and biggest enigma in the world at the moment, she is back with this fantastically camp disco instant classic. I cannot wait for the album with the same title to be released, she is just a mega star of international epic proportion. Born this way is produced by Fernando Garibay, Gaga and DJ White Shadow and is basically a HIT.
I am not sure if I am the only one who can hear a teeny bit of Madonna - Express Yourself in this song? Am I wrong, personally I would not see that as an insult!

Sugarland - Stuck Like Glue
Sugarland... stuck like glue, a song so damn catchy I forbid you to not like it! First impression was very country and western but we all like a bit of that too every now and again. The group remind me a tiny bit of Lady Antebellum who I also love muchly.
I think this song will be blowing up on all the air waves and music channels very soon so I hope you all start getting into them as much as I am before they hit the big time.
Album Incredible Machine is available on I-Tunes now.

Chris Brown - Yeah x3
OK, so I finally like a song by Chris Brown, not since 'I Can Transform ya' and 'No Air' a duet with Jordin Sparks have I liked a Chris Brown song, but this is pretty damn good.. within keeping of the current sounds by dare I say it, Rihanna... David Guetta, Black Eyed Pea's and many other acts opting for a dance infused sound. Brown seems to be back on form and previous 'discrepancies' seem to have been forgotten, perhaps not forgiven.. anyway Yeah x3 is a really good track that has been in my head all weekend and the video displays some fantastic choreography.

Jessie J - Feat B.O.B - Price Tag
Loving Jessie J - she is so fresh and so talented and I think she will create a new wave of musicians in the UK. She has the grit and determination and can write amazing songs, she has had doors closed for her in the past and is an ambassador of what happens when you don't give up! Doors are certainly open now.
Price Tag features American Rapper B.o.B who has also had huge success in the UK and world wide.
Jessie J is set to become of England's brightest new stars, she was the first artist to release a song straight to I-Tunes after it's radio release, which has proven a good idea since it has shot pretty much straight to number one. Now she is bringing forward debut album 'Who We Are' to meet the growing demand for her music.
I predict even bigger things in the future for this fellow Essex born superstar.
