Natalia Kills - Mirrors official video - She IS the next big thing

Ok so I have been away a while but what a better way to come back with the amazing Natalia Kills long awaited official video for single 'Mirrors' - it was worth the wait for me, I have been banging on about Kills for some time now here, here and here I really think she is the next big thing, I cannot wait to hear the album and everything else she is going to offer. Kills is not any ordinary musician, she is a producer, writer and is British born and I am a massive backer of British artists trying to make it in a big wide world. Natalia absolutely has 'IT' and I am so excited for her promotional trail that is going to leave many other acts in a cloud of smoke. I want to see her live, I want more videos - a sign of someone very exciting indeed. With Lady GaGa coming back in the new year this 2011 is already shaping up to be an amazing year musically.

Can't wait to see what else Natalia Kills is going to bring in 2011, I basically am obsessed to the point that I am sitting up late the first day I have Internet access back to hastily type this, so that I can introduce many more people to this sheer tune, I will be one of her biggest fans I know it. This blog should be named after her haha. People at work are sick of me going on about how big she will be!

Natalia will be everywhere in the New Year like GaGa was in 09 - and nobody believed me when I said she was going to be huge, mark my words Kills is going to kill other opponents off with her dark dance rock pop r n b and go on for mega success, I can feel it.

Natalia Kills - Mirrors

I am gutted, I have no Internet at home at the moment, but the new song of Natalia Kills - Mirrors video has finally been premiered - all I can read is teaser's - go forth and check it out, I must find an Internet cafe or something so I can view it as live streaming is BLOCKED at work...booo.

It will be as amazing as I have been expecting for the past god knows how many months... I so want to see this.

Let me know what you think, and I hope to post it soon. :-(

Cheryl Cole - The Flood

So Katie Melua, Take That and now Cheryl Cole are singing about Flood's! All within a year. Is this a good follow up to 'Promise This?' Erm.. sorry.. no..(sorry Cheryl) it's a different pace for Cheryl, the new album 'Messy Little Raindrops' has better offerings than 'The Flood' however I do feel it will appeal to new fans as well as hardcore Cheryl fans and is a slowie at this time of year I suppose. I do feel that the duets on current album are much better, such as 'Everyone feat Dizzee Rascal,' or 'Yeah Yeah featuring Travie McCoy.'

Where does she find the time though? She seriously does not stop, she is on most adverts, the X-Factor, flying off to America to record videos with Nicki Minaj and Will.I.Am and landing worldwide record deals. She is indeed in demand to say the least. I do think however Cheryl is going to have success overseas in the USA and I think its very deserved.

One thing about the video - she looks amazing.

Ellie Goulding - Your Song

Have you been hearing that advert, thinking who is doing this Elton John song? Well I will tell you, its the super talented Ellie Goulding. Just in time for Christmas, she brings out one of Elton John's most known records. I love it, but my one criticism is that Ellie has been commended on her song writing abilities and talent, so why cover someone else's song? Granted a good cover and choice for her vocals. What do you think? It's already gone far in the UK charts making it a top 5 single. It has been a god year for Ellie, number one album with 'Lights' and massive singles such as 'Starry Eyed, Guns & Horses and The Writer' she is about to re-release the as a "re-packaged" album which I do not agree to, but we wont go into that.

Rihanna - Loud

So the new Rihanna album, is it a good follow up to the not even cold from the epic promotional trail of Rated R.No is the answer, it feels slightly rushed and something's missing, it covers too many genres. BUT, Rihanna is a megastar so it doesn't matter does it? The tracks that stand out for me are those that stick to the dance vibe that Only Girl In The World' was moulded from, such as S&M and Who's That Chick. Other good tracks are the duets, obviously the Eminem track Love The Way You Lie and the Drake duet What's My Name and of course the woman wonder that is Nicky Minaj who seems to have worked with just about everyone in the past year, the track Raining Men features Minaj' amazing vocals and one of my favourite lyrics,
"It's raining men, fat bitches" which makes me laugh out loud everytime for some reason.

Rihanna has achieved so much for her years, she is one of the most fascinating artists out there and seems to continually reinvent herself and keeping her music new and relevant. Whilst I am a fan and the new album has provided some good tracks, I do feel it was rushed to escape the darker sound of Rated R. I am sure however, Rihanna has nothing to worry about, with an endless que of people waiting to work with her.

Whenever I may think Rihanna has done a bit of a duff track, I remind myself of the long, long list of greats she has done, and in no particular order:-
Umbrella, Russian Roulette, SOS, Pon De Replay, Disturbia, Rude Boy, Don't Stop The Music, Take A Bow, and so many of the duets and songs she has featured on.

Overall though, current album 'Loud' scores a 7/10 for the fact it provides some good songs, but hardly any greats. Below is new video for What's My Name featuring Drake. Wow that's some red hair.

Adele - Rolling In The Deep

Wow - Adele is back with a new single and album, and that voice!! She is back with the foot stomping 'Rolling In The Deep' below is a listen, for however long it will appear on youtube. Adele has once of the UK' most recognisable female vocals, and is full of soul. The song is described as gospel revenge music. Although not released until January 2011 both the album (21) and this single will be HUGE.

Good on Adele for coming back with such a great and different track to what she did on '19' which was an equally amazing album. Its not so far removed that you don't recognise the sound, but just enough to show progression with her age, 2 years have passed since 'Chasing Pavements' was released and you can see by this track how far she has come. She stands out in a very good crowd at the moment, with great female acts like Leona Lewis, Duffy and Ellie Goulding all carving successful careers in the USA and worldwide Adele has made her mark and will be around for a long time to come.

Shontelle - Perfect Nightmare

I AM BACK.. thank god. I recently moved house and lost internet connection for 3 weeks, and whilst I am not a mass internet junkie I did miss not being able to blog!

I am currently sifting through lots of new music I just purchased due to lack of net and wanted to review the new Shontelle single, 'Perfect Nightmare'. I love it basically. People are comparing her to Rihanna all the time because lets face it.. they are from the same country!! Thats stupid to do that becuase whilst I see slight similarities I don't think they are the same at all, musically especially. Both have their own sound and it seems to me there is plenty of room for the both of them.

The last single, 'Impossible' reached top ten here but deserved better, it is a great song. 'Perfect Nightmare' is so good, it is a good change from 'Impossible' and shows Shontelle is progressing naturally as a real contender for chart success, she just needs to get the promotion right and get plugging away and songs like these could fly up the chart. Shontelle' career does not just stop at singing, she writes as well and has worked with her major competitor Rihanna on her latest offering 'Loud'

Perfect Nightmare is available to buy now.

Alexandra Burke - The Silence speaks volumes

It's no secret that I like Alexandra Burke alot, so when I protested last month that 'Start Without You' was being released before 'The Silence' I may have been a bit premature, as Alexandra returns with the video fresh off her number one success with 'Start Without You.' I have always wanted this song to be released and believe as ballads go, this is a corker. The video is easily her best yet, the image is right and the video makes Alexandra look like she is a singer in her own right, this is why she won the X-Factor in 08.

She has the vocal ability and the versatility to go all the way. She has done very well since winning the X-Factor and is clawing her way up to becoming one of the huge success stories from the show. I for one am glad she has decided to release this single, as she needed to do something different from the fast paced music that she is also a dab hand at. With the album, 'Overcome' Alexandra has nearly released more songs than Leona Lewis has in the 4 years since she won the X-Factor.. looks like Miss Lewis better get back out there!

You can view the video Here
due to copyright I can't get the video on here yet.

Alexandra Burke has got to number one in the UK with Hallelujah, Bad Boys featuring Flo-Rida & Start Without You. As well as 2 other top ten hits with Broken Heels and All Night Long featuring Pitbull, and having worked with Red One on Broken Heels, Start Without you and The Silence she is fast becoming one of the UK's biggest female singers.

Pink - Raise Your Glass

Pink has a greatest hits compilation coming out just in time for X-mas, and with it a new single 'Raise Your Glass' which is another Pink classic, instantly goes up there with all the other greats. So that is why a greatest hits is needed, Pink has had so many to choose from. My highlights of her career so far are 'Just Like A Pill, Don't Let Me Get Me, Who Knew, So What, Get The Party Started and U and UR Hand.' My favourite album is 100% 'Missunderztood'

Afrojack featuring Eva Simons - Take Over Control

Afrojack is a dutch record producer, his music is mostly dance orientated, and has worked with Wynter Gordon, David Guetta and now Eva Simons. Eva had a single out last year called 'Silly Boy' it did not fare too well in other countries but was actually brilliant and was top 10 in the Netherlands. She has since spent the past year recording and album which is due anytime now.

I like this song, I think it will be a huge club hit, not sure everyone will like it and have to admit it took me 2 or 3 listens to realise its brilliance. It is released in the UK 28/11/2010.

The X Factor so far

I have now changed my mind as to who I want to win the X-Factor 2010. Basically I always watch these shows looking for someone whose music I would buy. I am usually pretty good at spotting who will be big and who wont. I believe both Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle will have the ability to sell milions of records worldwide. So far Matt's two performances have wowed me beyond belief as has Rebecca. I therefore back these 2 to win. My only gripe about it this year is the fact that they introduced the wild card option and of the 4 acts only one was worthy a place in the finals - Tracy Cohen who is also amazing, a worthy third place I should think.

I think however, for Simon Cowell a female is a more worthy winner of the competition with Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke both winning and going on for big success, whereas past male winners have not done so well. People who come in as runners up usually go on to do well JLS, Diana Vickers & Olly Murs, but I do feel Cowell's music input is better suited to diva's |& not males. So it might be in Matt's best interest to come second and Rebecca to win. Considering we are at the third week I think the below performances are amazing.

Two new songs by people called Nelly

Nelly is back with fantastic new single Just A Dream and I love it. What a great way to showcase Nelly is a long term server in the music business.

Nelly Futardo - Night Is Young

Nelly Futardo has been away a while - she is back with a greatest hits and 3 new songs! It is ok but not classic Nelly, like Maneater or Promiscuous.

Well, Well Well, Duffy is back

It's been a fair few years since Duffy exploded onto the scene, and with it she brought one massive selling debut album in Rockferry, and number one smash Mercy and the weeper friendly Warwick Avenue and Stepping Stone. Now she is back with a retro pop fused record Well Well Well.. it has a real 60's/70's vibe to it much the same as previous offerings. I am not sure with Duffy, she was a big success and I think she may repeat with the next album after years making it, will it be worth it? Well I cannot say right now but I shall come back to you once the album is released.

I think it's a good thing Duffy has not tried to change too drastically, she does what she does and she does it well, well, well, so why change a winning format. You either love her, yet to decide or don't like her much..if at all. Either way you have an opinion on her. I am a fan and first saw her on an album chart show special in 2007 and knew I was going to like her.

Well Well Well is released November 21st
Endlessly the new album is released November 29th

Monday 18 October 2010

Freemasons feat Wynter Gordon - Believer

I think we first heard of Wynter Gordon on the Flo-Rida track Sugar hit, she has since gone on to record guest vocals for the likes of David Guetta, Freemasons and her own solo material. She released Dirty Talk in America and is yet to release it here but I think when she does, it will be big.

Believer is a great return to form for Freemasons who have had huge success both with remixing other peoples songs and on their own stuff. I think Wynters vocals work really well on this song and the video is as good as the song. Some of Freemasons work has been epic and I think this is in the same vane as the Kelly Rowland remix of Work which I think was way better than the original version. I am glad they are back as I always love their sound.

Hurts - Stay

When I first blogged about Hurts here I knew that they were going to be huge, they then went on for a top ten single with Wonderful Life, a number 4 selling album with Happiness and have been touring all over the place. So I am delighted that they made the perfect choice for the next single. Stay is by far my favourite on the album and I was just browsing through MTV channels as I do on most Sunday afternoons when I stumbled across the song's video and felt compelled to blog it straight away.

I am literally obsessed with this band and see big things for them, something interesting about them is that they worked with Fame Academy and one hit wonder David Sneddon on the album and he has contributed to some really good songs on the album so fair play to him. I am looking forward to seeing Hurts live one day, as soon as I can I will be there. Cannot wait to see what is next.

My Highlights on this album are Stay, Wonderful Life, Better Than Love, Devotion featuring Kylie Minogue, Blood Tears & Gold and Silver Lining. It really is a great album well worth purchasing.

Happiness is out now and Stay is released 15th November.

Saturday 16 October 2010

Nicole Scherzinger - Poison

WOW.... This is more like it Nicole, this is exactly what I wanted you to do!! Now you are a contender as a solo artist to go all the way. This will be huge no worries about that. This RedOne produced track proves he is really the one to work with, he can take anyone and turn them into a number one recording artist. Thank god for this song Nicole coz this is better than anything else you have done to date.

Cannot wait for the video now but for the time being, here it is. WOW.

2NE1 - To Anyone

I actually love them, they are just what music needs right now a 4 piece girl group full of attitude, style and great music. I instantly purchased 'Can't Nobody' a stomping cracker of a song, that just grows the more times you hear it. The girls originate from South Korea, and although bands from Asia very rarely make it over here in the UK, however, I think these 4 girls can do it. Mostly I find them cute, but can see they are fierce. In fact they have been noticed by superstar Will.I.Am and he wants to work with them in the future, so if anyone is going to make them huge he will.

In their native country they are a massive success. The end of 'Can't Nobody' is my favourite bit and makes me want to get up and dance! They have had 4 number one hits in South Korea.
They have two albums out (2NE1 & To Anyone) and can be purchased on I-Tunes, I have many of their songs currently making their way up my playlist.

Once again, I am hoping they will launch over here, they have English versions of their songs and I think there is a huge gap in the market for them..

Take That - The Flood

Taken from the new album 'Progress' comes Take That' new single and first with ex band mate and solo superstar Robbie Williams, 'The Flood' is a sign that they are back, with a bang! The song is as good as 'Patience, Greatest Day, Shine & Rule The World' and with this new track they are guaranteed number one success once more. They are up against the might of JLS and I predict a really big chart battle, but there is room for the both of them. I do think Take That is still the nations favourite manband based on longevity, they will go down in history as the biggest selling bands of all time.

The video sees the lads rowing down the Thames racing, and I think a sign of the past years the battle for success against solo careers, fights, media turmoil and finally the rejoining of the five piece.

Progress is released 22nd November with lead single The Flood released 14th November.

Sunday 10 October 2010

Shakira Feat Dizzee Rascal - it is crazy, Loca Loca

I would never of put these two together at all, but it sort of works, once again Shakira is back with another wacky tune, this time with the help of brit Dizzee Rascal who would seem to of had the Midas touch for hits the past 18 months. So does Loca work? I think so.. on the fence at the moment, I think it will grow on me like so many other hits of Shakira, having only listened to this a handful of times I am still unsure, but Dizzee adds his usual charm to the song making it extra special. The video lives up to the the title of the song, Loca sees Shakira skating around Barcelona and gyrating in a gold bikini! What is not to like, well you decide..

Tinie Tempah - Disc-Overy A new obsession

I have to say, the music Tinie Tempah has come out with so far has been extraordinary. I love the number one Pass Out, followed by Frisky and then the 2nd & most recent number one single Written in the stars feat Eric Turner. The album does not disappoint, full of eclectic sounding songs, each one could be a single! Tinie has worked with Ellie Goulding, Kelly Rowland, Labrinth, Eric Turner and Emeli Sande. He is also in high demand with many other artists to work with him, the future certainly is looking good.

Stand out tracks are Miami to Ibiza, Pass Out, Wonderman, Just A Little and Written in the stars. The lyrics are a mix of truth and comedy and Tinie's vocals are imaginative and clever, Ia m officially one of the many many fans, and predict Tinie Tempah's name will be around for a while yet. The UK has many artists who are known as the Brrrap pack and I think Tinie is the leader of this growing phenomenon in music and stands out way more than most other UK male solo artists.

Overall I would give this album 10 out of 10, for it's originality, diversity and all round genius!

This is my favourite on the album though Miami to Ibiza with Swedish House Mafia.

Tuesday 5 October 2010

Gabriella Cilmi - What happened? Still one to watch!!

Gabriella Cilmi' last album should of been massive, epic even. It all seemed like it should of gone the right way, Xenomania behind the majority of the album, after all their success with Girls Aloud, a great starter track with 'On A Mission' a video to pay tribute to Barbarella.. it should of been better. Instead Gabriella seemed to vanish after the first 3 songs, with little promotion and 2 not so great follow up videos with 'Hearts Don't Lie' & 'Defender.'

Gabriella is a sexy Australian singer, she has all the credentials to be a huge hit here. It just seems after 'Sweet About Me' she has not captured the buying public with a worthwhile single. I am a huge fan, I loved the album 'Ten' which had a great load of pop songs on, including my favourite 'What If You Knew.' I think that the best singles were not released from the album and it subsequently ended rather quickly from a huge build up of excitement and buzz. 'On A Mission,' I felt, should of gone to number one here! As I type I am listening to the album and it is such a good record, and much better than first album 'Lessons To Be Learned' and is well worth a listen or 10.

Maybe the third album campaign will be different, maybe they will bring her out with a new sound and cool look. - I just hope she does not give up. The charts are dominated by USA and UK artists that it leaves little room for many other countries and with Kylie being the main Australian export for some time, maybe, just maybe its time for someone else to enter the race.

Sunday 3 October 2010

Diana Vickers - My Wicked Heart

I am dead against people re-releasing albums normally because I find it really unfair that music buying people are faced with either having to buy an album with 2 extra songs on or go out and buy singles when they already own a perfectly good album minus a song that was not on it before. So when I heard Diana Vickers is re-releasing Songs from the tainted cherry tree, I was outraged. Not for the usual reasons though. Mainly because this album already has 2 or 3 really really amazing songs on that should of been released before an attempt at a repackaged album. Anyway, My Wicked Heart is a good track, catchy and very Diana. I love Diana, but I am gutted she has done it this way, particularly as I really wanted 'Put It Back Together' to be the third single as I love it way more than 'The Boy Who Murdered Love.' The video to this new song is different and shows Diana is a potentially long standing pop starlet. Her looks always change and she is versatile.

2008's X-factor saw Diana fall short at 4th place, but she has proved you do not have to win it to be a good artist, so that is why I have rage regarding repackaged albums, at least try other tracks and release a new single later.. you have to put the video's out, do the promo and see how the land lies.

Below are the new video for single 'My Wicked Heart' out 7th November and 'Put It Back Together' - what do you think?

Jamelia - Beware Of The Dog

All I can say is WHAT HAPPENED? I was just randomly shuffling my I-Pod and what would come on - Jamelia - Beware of the Dog. WHAT A TUNE. It is a thumping record that had number one scored all over it and yet NO it failed to make it. Jamelia did not get the right promotion on her last album 'Walk With Me' which is a shame because as a whole, this album is better than the previous two Jamelia put out. This song should have been her first, with a better video I guess, but hey ho.
However, I am pleased to hear she is working on the next chapter and coming back with a big record. Fingers crossed she can get back to her Thank You & Superstar fame she had once as she really is quite good actually. Rumours are rife she is working with big producers including Mr Pharrell Williams, so I am confident she can do it this time round!  Rant over.

Friday 1 October 2010

Melanie Fiona

Melanie Fiona is a singer songwriter from Canada. Her first single to get airplay here in the UK was 'Give It To Me Right' which fast became an obsession of mine. As usual she did not quite make it this side of the world charting at number 40. I do think she deserved better than this. Her album 'The Bridge' was a fun mixed medley of pop, motown & RNB. I instantly bought the album and really enjoy listening to it, over and over again, I guess that is a good thing sometimes when they do not quite make it here, you can enjoy the music without all the promotion on radio's and MTV etc. I do however, want to hear more and more of her and see what else she will offer from second studio album, hopefully Melanie will embark on a full promotional campaign and really plug it, because, as long as it's as good as first album, Melanie could be huge!

Highlights on the album are:
Bang Bang
Give It To Me Right
Monday Morning
Please Don't Go (Cry Baby)
You Stop My Heart

JLS - Love You More

It's a new single from the X-Factor 2008 runners up JLS. I can't help but like them, so I bring you the new video.. what do you think? It is not my favourite but I am sure it will hit number one no problem. It's slower compared to everything else they have done and really reminds me of something else, but showcases their vocals we all remember from the X-Factor without the auto-tune we saw on 'Club Is Alive.' Their next album is titled 'Outta This World' which I reckon will be as big as predecessor 'JLS'
Their new album goes head to head with Take That apparently, with JLS'recent stint of good luck and numbers ones, I am sure it will be a big chart battle. But who will win?

Mylene Farmer - Oui Mais.. Non

OK, so I do not understand a word of it, it's in french - but I love it, probably because it is produced by super producer Red One, who you may be familiar with by now, but incase you have lived in a cave the past couple of years, Lady GaGa BAD ROMANCE, Pokerface.. plus many other singers grabbing hold of him.

So to the star in question,  Mylene Farmer! She has been around a few years now but this has been bought to my attention for all the right reasons, and I love love it. Its really catchy and I find myself humming away to it without realising it, so it really does not matter that I don't understand the words, the music speaks for itself. Will it be released in the UK? I doubt it, but it should be given the chance with the right video. All Red One produced tracks seem to storm to top 10 at least! I can't wait to see the video.

Thursday 30 September 2010

Glee

I love it - I am 100% a Gleek always have been, always will be - especially the one and only SUE SYLVESTER. I have been watching series 2 and am loving it! It is back full of humor and wit. I cannot say too much as I know many of my friends can't watch it here! But I think they have got back some of the humour that was left out towards the end of series 1, even though series one is still 100% amazing, genius, fun and brilliant, also serious when it needs to be.

Rachel has glammed up, Finn has died his hair, the rest of them have glammed up but Sue's tracksuit remains in tact! I really love this series, it's  fun and always makes me laugh, some of the music is cheesy but that's ok, we all like it really it's just admitting it! I wish there was a Glee club when I was at school, even though I sound like a bag of cats being thrown against a wall when I sing, I still think I would of got in some how!

My hero is Sue Sylvester, her wit, her hatred for others just makes me die with laughter. Whoever writes for her is an actual genius! I am glad they have got the permissions to cover more relevant and recent songs such as Gaga and Jay-Z, they do it well, they do it in true Glee style. I cannot wait to see the second episode with Britney Spears - she makes a lot of cameo's and always surprises me at how good she is in them.

Long live GLEE and their soundtracks, so far Somebody to love, Like A Prayer, Proud Mary, Jump and so many others are frequent songs on my I-Pod, I always feel slightly guilty walking along with it playing in my ears, but it always brightens up my day haha.

Monday 27 September 2010

Enrique Iglesias feat Nicole Scherzinger - Heartbeat

They have 2 of the hardest names in pop to spell so I will keep it simple. Enrique feat Nicole - Heartbeat is one of my new favourites, sexy video & a great beat - good to see Enrique is doing some good music again, not since the 'ping pong song' have I liked anything as much as this. Enrique oozes charm in this video - something he does well, whereas Nicole is smoking hot in her scenes, a hot video that I am sure Lewis finds hard to watch.

As for Nicole, well she is working on her eagerly awaited debut solo album which is out soon, working with GAGA and Alexandra Burke's best producing buddy 'RedOne' who has helped create some of my all time favourite songs (Bad Romance/Pokerface) the future looks good for Nicole, fresh out of her surprisingly good stint as an X-Factor judge. Nicole brings a great subtle tone to this track which I think compliments Enrique' vocals perfectly. It is already climbing high on the UK singles chart and I would like to see it hit number one. A few weeks more and they could of performed it on the X-Factor which usually boosts acts straight to the number one!

Sunday 26 September 2010

The Wanted

Guilty - but I actually really like these lads as they seem normal and their sound is different if you ask me.. the more I hear 'Heart Vacany' the more I am humming it, and it is rare for me to like boy/man bands but these are catchy songs. I may even get the album! 'Heart Vacancy' is a sure fire number one to follow up its predecessor 'All Time Low' which I also like a lot. I think they have found that there was definitely a gap in the market for a new boyband, JLS and McFly are probably their major competition, but thankfully all three acts are completely different, and on top of that each of them are producing really good music!

I literally never thought I would have acts like 'The Wanted, JLS, McFly & Take That' on my-Ipod - but its getting less of a travesty to like these groups when they keep banging out the hits!

www.thewantedmusic.com/

Kaci Battaglia - One to watch

I have been following Kaci Battaglia since 'Crazy Possessive' was released. It is a great pop song reminiscent of Britney Spears 'Womanizer' days and I really like it just as much. So, when I heard the new song 'Body Shots featuring Ludacris' I was very happy indeed, and then.. I heard this remix, which I actually prefer to the original and instantly purchased on I-Tunes.

So I am hoping Kaci will come over to the UK and start promoting her songs here, they have a good club vibe and we do like a dance here as well. I am also keen to here the whole album and see what the other tracks are like.

For the US fans, her album 'Bring It On' is out now, for us here in England, we can but wait, unless we all go and buy her singles on I-Tunes...NOW.

Listen to both below and see what you think.

The Ting Tings - Hands

After a few years out, the Ting Tings are back with new single Hands. Which for me, feels like a follow on from their last stuff, they have not changed drastically but have kept their music current and fresh. In Hands we hear what I think will become the new albums 'That's Not My Name' in the lyrics, 'Clap your hands if you're working too hard' the beginning sounds like it might not go the way you want, but then it kicks in! It has a retro feel to it, which is something many other artists are doing with their sound.  I am glad they did not go too different and stuck to what they know, good electric pop! I feel it is a grower, whereas 'That's Not My Name & Shut Up And Let Me Go' were instant favourites for me, still - nothing wrong with a song that will grow on you.I feel that Hands will sit perfectly on my-Ipod along with all their other classics and future hits.

New album 'Kunst' which I am sure is a cheeky way of saying a very naughty word, although it means 'Art' in German has no confirmed release date as yet. 'Hands' is released October 11th.

The Saturdays - Higher

Ok, so I am not the BIGGEST fan but I like a few of their tracks, and this seems to be a follow up to 'UP'? Both are words that describe going upward? Anyway I think this is their best single yet, its a good pop tune and probably their best video yet. If ever one of their songs deserved number one, this would be it. I wish they had released this first instead of 'Missing You' as that is my least favourite of theirs. Also, I have seen the 24/7 programme on ITV2 and I am glad as I am liking them as people more!

Higher is released  1st November from the mini Album 'Headlines' which is out now.

Anyway - good piece of pop this!

Rihanna - Only Girl (in the world)

WOW! Rihanna is back - with a club banger - thank god!! Back to the her best. I liked 'Rated R' but it was a little darker and if it was not for 'Rude Boy, Russian Roulette & Firebomb' I perhaps would of gotten bored of it quickly.. I am a fan though and love many of the others, 'Take a Bow' 'Umbrella' 'SOS' & 'Don't Stop The Music' there are soo many to name you forget how many songs she has had, and how many she has worked on. Rihanna seems to dominate the charts and there seems to be no stopping her everything she touches turns to gold. I get the feeling she is going to around for years to come. I am looking forward to new album 'Loud' if the new song is anything to go buy. Below is a radio rip of 'Only Girl (in the world)' or if you want to hear a decent version head on over to the official website. I BLOODY LOVE IT.' What do you think?

Cheryl Cole - Promise This

I am not sure on the new Cheryl Cole track 'Promise this', is it another grower like 'Fight For This Love?' Possibly.. I am not sure. It is strange but catchy.. we shall see. I love Cheryl and pleased to see her back, can't wait to see what category she gets on the X Factor. Good to see she is trying something different. Is it Nadine vs Cheryl. Both are offering good options, but will Joe McElderry beat them all? As I have to say his song is not as bad as I thought it was going to be! Not my I-Pod worthy but a good first track, I don't think he will be another Leon Jackson. It sounds kinda like Mika? You can decide below!

Joe McElderry - Ambitions is released October 10th.

Christina Aguilera still has it

The way the media is acting about Christina Aguilera anyone would think she was a new act that has had no success or a decent record. We are forgetting that her last 3 albums (Stripped, Back To Basics & Bionic) hit number one. She has had some huge number ones including Beautiful, Dirrty, Lady Marmalade and of course Genie in a bottle. So people are now going on that because Bionic did not smash previous records that she has had it and GAGA is the way forward. Not at all, there is plenty of room for the Christina's, Beyonce' & Katy Perry's. It is just making sure they choose the right songs to release with the right videos. The Bionic campaign has not been the big comeback special you would expect from someone who last released an album 4 years previous. I think that this album has some stand out tracks but the release format has been out of whack, and as for the promotion, it was not done quite right was it?!

On the Bionic album I would of released WooHoo feat Nicki Minaj first! With an awesome video and the cameo from up and coming young rapper Minaj, this would of been a great club banger like her hay day of Dirrty featuring Redman. I would of followed it up with either Not Myself Tonight or Lift Me Up. Other greats are Desnudate, Vanity, I am and You Lost Me. There is still great stuff with X-Tina. I am one of her biggest fans and follow everything she does. She has one of the biggest voices out there and should not feel the need rival GAGA, they are two completely different acts that I am a huge fan of. In theory Bionic should have been much much bigger, I just think the timing, promo and lack of videos for the right songs are the reason it fell from grace so quickly. One of my all time favourite albums is 2002' Stripped, which is a classic example of how great Christina is.

I urge Christina to re-think, take a few months and get something else out there to remind her old fans as well as potential new ones just why Christina still has it.

Or a classic like:

Kings Of Leon - Radioactive

There really is no stopping KOL - they are literally amazing, I have not been lucky enough to see them live, but feel the gospel/rock sound of Radioactive would be amazing live!!! I am thinking they shall be dominating the world once more over the next 2 years with new album 'Come Around Sundown' which is released 18th October in the UK and 19th in the US. Radioactive is available to download now!

There are many bands like the Kings out there, but so little manage the success they have achieved. Although it did take them from later 90's until pretty much the launch of 2008's 'Only By The Night' album to really hit the mainstream market as well. I have been a fan since the single 'Charmer was released, its actually brilliant. I hope to go see them live next time if tickets are not too expensive. Other great such as 'ex On Fire' 'Use Sombody' and 'On Call' get regular plays on Mi-Pod.

Below is the new video for Radioactive.

Nadine Coyle - Insatiable

Nadine Coyle is gearing up to launch her muchly anticipated first single 'Insatiable' and on the first few listens it is actually an OK first song and you instantly recognise it as being a very Girls Aloud sounding song, a little bit 80's and fairly catchy. However, it's not Girls Aloud, and a lot of fans are going to hold this against Nadine as they feel she is the reason they are not recording at the moment.

With a release date that will clash with Cheryl Cole's new single 'Promise This' I get a distinct feeling Cheryl will crush Nadine in a chart battle. Which is a shame as I am sure there is plenty of room for the both of them. Maybe Nadine should re-think this, especially as Cheryl has not released the song to radio yet.

I am on the fence, but I would be keen to hear what you think of the song?

She Kills me with her sheer brilliance

Once again, Kills, Natalia.. I am literally obsessed and waiting for the following:

1) The rest of this song.
2) To own this song
3) The album that this song belongs to - although I am fully aware 'Perfection' does take time
4) The Tour
& 5) All of the above, again for the second installment.

For now, I will just listen to this teaser 1 minute & 27second clip.. over, and over and over again!

Girlicious

With what seems to be a bucket load of boy bands around at the moment, what we need is a decent girlband.. with the Sugababes slowly evaporating before our eyes and the unlikeliness that Girls Aloud will reconcile their differences it has left a gap. A gap The Saturdays are trying to fill but not quite doing so. It is at this time I would normally turn to the likes of Pussycat Dolls or Destiny's Child for a good old dancey song, but nope they have vanished or decided to call it a day.. so in America the show that created Girlicious is a show from the Pussycat Dolls & after a few line up changes it seems they have finally settled on 3 of them. They have created a good pop song, but it would seem they are not coming over here to the UK!? WHY?? I love the single 'Maniac' it would fill a void here and am certain would fly to chart glory in the absence of other great girl groups out there. See what you think.. but I reckon they would be quite well accepted here. Especially if they re-released the brilliant 'Stupid Shit' and the below single. Number ones written all over them, we do love a bit of controversy here. So I am asking nicely, please start a European campaign..

New Music that I am liking - Kylie, McFly, Brandon & Alex G

McFly - Party Girl (GUILTY PLEASURE)

Now, I don't know if it's just the fact that MCFLY have promoted the hell out of new Single 'Party Girl' or the fact that it is actually quite a good track that I like, but I feel ashamed.. they are clearly talented lads but going back they used to sing about a girl who had five colours in her hair.. yawn, really not my thing. So the boys took a couple of years off, buffed up and came back with a racy video that most girls and some guys will love! Number 1 ahead for these lads, fair play to them.

Brandon Flowers - CrossFire
I like it, and what with Charlize Theron appearing in the action packed video which sees Brandon tied up throughout and facing imminent torture. To me, this is not a number one single and probably a very similar track to what the Killers could of done? So I am left wondering why he has gone it alone? I am looking forward to listening to the album as I like his voice and the previous offerings from the Killers such as Mr Brightside, Somebody told me & Human.

Alex Gaudino - I'm In Love
Remember 'Destination Unknown' all those years ago? 2007 actually it was a dance classic with horns and scantily clad girls running round in the video giving boys the horn! Well this is the new offering from Alex, and I love it! With the lyrics 'Im in love I wanna do it' you would think it was slightly awful, but its really not awful. Quite great actually..

Kylie Minogue - Get Out Of My Way
Kylie just keeps churning out great pop songs that seem to become timeless classics, and this is no exception, with a really good video and a fantastic looking Kylie gyrating all over the place you cant help but love her. The follow up to my favourite Kylie song, 'All The Lovers', from the album 'Aphrodite' this is another foot tapping, dance friendly song the proves Kylie is the pop princess and stays at the top of her game.
